Ask your own AI what happened to the store.
Connect Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or another MCP client to Operanse, and ask in plain words. It reads the same monitoring the dashboard shows, only for the sites you are allowed to see, and every answer says where it came from and how fresh it is.
On Monitor and Insight
Likely cause: the background queue that runs renewals stalled, not the payment gateway. WP-Cron missed a run at 02:08, and from 02:10 to 03:35 no scheduled action completed while 14 renewals failed. Calls to the gateway answered normally throughout, and the failures stop the minute the queue resumes.
11 of the 14 went through on the 05:00 retry; 3 are still failed and are listed in the incident.
Source: cached telemetry, fresh as of 2 minutes ago · incident inc_01J9… · read-only.
The answer is in the monitoring, behind six tabs
“Did renewals fail last night, and was it the gateway?” is one question. Answering it means opening incidents, renewals, the job queue and the changes list, and reading them together. Your AI client can do that reading, if it has the data and is honest about how old it is.
- A quick question that takes twenty minutes in a dashboard.
- An AI assistant that guesses because it cannot see the store.
- An answer with no date on it.
What you can see
Plain questions, real data
The client chooses from a fixed set of read-only tools: site health, incidents, payments, subscriptions, the Action Scheduler queue, integrations, forms, uptime, recent changes, and a live investigation when the cached data is not enough.
| tool | reads | status |
|---|---|---|
| get_site_health | overall state, open anomalies | read |
| get_incidents | open and resolved incidents | read |
| get_recent_changes | updates and settings saves | read |
| investigate_issue | a live read from the site | read |
Source and freshness on every answer
Each tool’s answer carries where it came from (cached telemetry, or a live investigation) and when it was read. Your AI can tell you an answer is 40 seconds old, or that the data is stale and a live read is needed.

Only the sites a person may see
A person signs in with their Operanse account and ticks the organisations the client may read, and can revoke it from the dashboard. A member limited to certain sites, such as a client or a contractor, sees only those sites over MCP, as in the dashboard.
| site | via MCP | status |
|---|---|---|
| northwind-supply | visible | allowed |
| northwind-wholesale | visible | allowed |
| another client’s store | not listed | no access |
An answer you can check
The tools return facts with evidence ids; your AI does the reasoning, in your own client.
- Add the Operanse MCP server to your client by its URL.
- Sign in with your Operanse account and tick the organisations it may read.
- Ask. Revoke access from the dashboard at any time.
Clients that take a header can use a personal token from the dashboard instead of signing in.
The reasoning is done by your AI client, under your own account with its provider. For reviews Operanse writes itself, see AI incident reviews.
Coverage and limits
What it covers
- Ask your own AI. Claude, ChatGPT or Cursor read your store’s monitoring over MCP; every answer states its source and how fresh it is.Monitor
- Client access. A user limited to certain sites sees only those sites through their AI, as in the dashboard.Monitor
Limits
- Read-only. No tool can change the site, run code or update a setting; none exists to give it.
- Answers are as good as your AI client’s reasoning. The tools supply cited facts; the client writes the reply.
- A live investigation reaches the site through the plugin’s job polling by default, so it can take a minute or more.
Start using it
- Install the plugin from wordpress.org. It is read-only: it cannot change the site.
- Pair the site with the token from your dashboard. Setup, step by step
- Connect your AI client by the MCP server’s URL, on Monitor or Insight.

Questions
Which AI clients work?
Any client that supports remote MCP servers, such as Claude, ChatGPT and Cursor.
Can my AI change anything on the store?
No. The MCP server only offers read tools, and the site itself runs only a fixed list of read-only capabilities.
Is this on the free plan?
No. Asking your own AI is on Monitor and Insight.
Can I give a client access to only their store?
Yes. Limit their membership to their sites, and their AI sees only those.
