Know when Gravity Forms stops bringing in enquiries.
Your page can load while the form on it stops working. Operanse works with Gravity Forms to notice when the submissions you normally receive stop arriving—and show you what changed shortly before.
Watch the forms that matter to your business, without reading a single entry.
Form and email monitoring require Monitor ($39 USD/site/month) or Insight ($99). Your trial includes 14 days of Insight. Free Watch does not monitor forms or email.
Illustrative. One week of submissions to an enquiry form, drawn against the form’s own normal for each hour. On Tuesday morning the form goes quiet.
Three different problems, kept apart
A quiet form, a form turning people away, and a form whose notifications fail each get their own signal.
Submissions stop
A script conflict stops the form from submitting, or a page is unpublished and its form disappears. Nothing reaches WordPress, so there is no error. Operanse learns each monitored form’s normal for each hour of the week and notices when submissions stop arriving when they usually would.
Submissions are rejected
Failed validation, spam and captcha rejections are counted apart from submissions. A rejection is the form working, so it is never treated as proof of breakage, but a surge is visible: a captcha change may be turning genuine visitors away.
Entries arrive, notifications fail
Gravity Forms notifications use the site’s mail. Email monitoring watches that separately, so entries piling up while the notification email is refused is its own alert, not a quiet form.
What you see, and the alert you get
Illustrative example. Site name, forms, times and figures are examples.
| form (page) | usual this hour | received | rejected | status |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Patient intake (New patients) | 6–11 | 0 since 09:10 | 0 | stopped |
| Contact (Contact us) | 2–5 | 4 | 1 | normal |
| Callback (Home) | 1–4 | 3 | 7 | normal |
The “Patient intake” form (page: New patients) has had no submissions since 09:10. On a Tuesday morning it usually gets 6 to 11 an hour.
Changed shortly before: Gravity Forms updated, 08:52. A place to start, not proof of the cause.
Alerts by email, Slack, SMS or WhatsApp. Form monitoring in full
You choose the forms. It watches real visitors.
Operanse finds your forms and proposes the ones that look important. You confirm which to monitor and which are critical; nothing is monitored until you do. There is no tracking code to add.
No test submissions. Operanse never fills in your forms. It watches real submissions, so a form receiving several an hour is judged within hours and one receiving a few a week takes much longer. Learning a daily pattern takes about 48 hours; a weekly one about two weeks.
Gravity Forms reports submissions and rejections, not a separate processing error, so breakage is found through missing submissions. A drop can also mean fewer visitors: an alert is a reason to check.
Private, light, and set up in minutes
It never reads your entries. Only the form’s number, the page it sits on and counts of submissions and rejections leave the site; never field values or who submitted. Security
It won’t slow your forms down. A submission is one line appended to a local file, and nothing waits on Operanse. How it’s measured
Create an account at app.operanse.com and add your site.
Install Operanse Agent from wordpress.org and paste the pairing token.
Confirm which of the forms it found to monitor, and which are critical.
Form and email monitoring are on Monitor ($39 USD/site/month) and Insight ($99), not on the free Watch plan. The 14-day trial is Insight, no card. Pricing in full
Frequently asked questions
Does Operanse read my Gravity Forms entries?
No. It records counts, the form’s number and the page it sits on. It never reads field values, entries or the identity of the person submitting.
How quickly will it notice a broken form?
It depends on the form’s usual activity. A form that normally gets several submissions an hour provides evidence sooner than one that gets one a week.
What if submissions work but notification emails do not?
Refused sending raises an email alert even while the form keeps receiving entries. An accepted email does not prove the notification reached an inbox.
Does it work with other form plugins?
Yes: WPForms and Contact Form 7 too. Custom forms can report through a WordPress action. How
Does it repair forms or resend notifications?
No. It is read-only: it watches and tells you.
Don’t leave missing enquiries unnoticed.
